AGAMUS Award to the IVECO factory in Valladolid
Iveco has received the award in the category best vehicle manufacturer (OEM)
Today at Vallor Trucks we are looking at the IVECO factory in Valladolid, which has won the award for "Best Vehicle Manufacturer ( OEM )" given by the German consultancy AGAMUS.
Thanks to the results obtained in the audit carried out by the AGAMUS team, which recognizes the Valladolid factory as a world reference in Industry 4.0 thanks to the latest innovations introduced.
The use of Big Data in the welding, painting and tightening torque processes stands out. Its main objective is to record these values and in real time, see what happens in the process, and its impact on the product in order to optimize it. As well as radio frequency identification cards (RFID) to control the stock of parts in real time, artificial vision to improve quality control, internal transport of parts and subsets with autonomous guidance vehicles (AGVs), 3D printing in plastic, virtual and augmented reality, ex-skeletons and collaborative robots.
The Valladolid factory produces the Daily light commercial vehicle in its chassis cab version, as well as the Hi-Matic version, with 8-speed automatic transmission. It also manufactures sheet metal and paint cabs for the Iveco plant in Madrid for the Iveco heavy duty S-Way truck.
