Spain prohibit the circulation of heavy vehicles on a section of the A7 in the direction of France.
As of this Monday, February 17, the Provincial Head of Traffic of Almeria has decreed a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles on the A-7 (Mediterranean Highway) between kms 429 and 438 in the direction of France
As of this Monday, February 17, the Provincial Traffic Authority of Almeria has decreed a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles on the A-7 (Mediterranean Highway) between kms 429 and 438 in the French direction every day from Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 am and will be required to park in the area of La Mojonera, next to exit 420 of the A7, which according to the promotion circulate more than 3300 trucks per day on the restricted section.
The Spanish National Transport Federation (FENADISMER) questions the legality of this restriction as it does not comply with the approval and publicity procedure established by the current General Traffic Regulations for the establishment of this type of restriction, which requires its prior publication in the BOE eight days before its entry into force so that it can be sufficiently known by the sector concerned, and also for contravening the annual resolution of restrictions recently approved by the DGT by limiting the cases in which permanent restrictions can be established and for not specifying the category of heavy goods vehicles affected or those exempted from it.
FENADISMER does not rule out taking legal and administrative action against this restriction.
